The flood, reaching heights 25 feet in some areas, was devastating. Buildings were flattened under the weight of the sticky goo.
The aftermath was heartbreaking. Twenty-one people lost their lives, and many more sustained wounds. The flood also caused extensive damage to property, leaving a trail of sweet devastation in its wake.

The city/Officials/Local authorities are working to clean up/contain/investigate the sticky situation, but until then, Boston is left navigating/scrambling/dealing with this sticky/treacherous/tacky predicament.
